Beanie's Expansion

Beanies of Lancaster is a manufacturer of a variety of food products, including mustards, dressings, hot and BBQ sauces, jellies and jams. Much of our business is Private Labeling and Co-packing. Since the late 1980s, BCW has grown steadily, from producing a few gallons of mustard in a home kitchen to approximately two million dollars in annual sales.

In October of 2002, BCW acquired C.O. Nolt & Son Inc., a Bakery Supplier. Prior to that, BCW was renting production space from C.O. Nolt & Son Inc. Also occupying the same building is Fillmore Container, a sister company that is jointly owned by the managers of all three companies. Fillmore is a distributor of jars and lids for many different uses. Being that all three companies are growing steadily and busting the seams of our building, we decided to expand.

In late 2003, BCW initiated negotiations with Scenic Ridge Construction to build a facility to accommodate the growth and expansion of all three companies. An additional factor for BCW is the need for a more modern production facility and more automated equipment. Updating computers and office equipment will also be a desired result of this expansion. The new building should be completed in October of this year. [2005]
